Still more to celebrate in Kamloops this month!
The Interior Authors Group released its latest anthology, Colours of Canada, in July 2026: “In the IAG’s twenty-year history, our writers have created seven anthologies, releasing our Colours of Canada anthology in July. We are eclectic writers who connect during monthly meetings held at the North Shore Community Centre, 730 Cottonwood Avenue, Kamloops, or via Zoom with surrounding communities, especially during the winter months. Together we learn new aspects of our craft, share our writings and encourage each other, especially as we collaborate to create our anthologies. You can find us at our pop-up Book Booth at the Kamloops Farmers’ Market where we display and sell our books. We also bring the Book Booth to local Christmas fairs in Kamloops. Sue Steenson is continuing to do amazing work leading the organization of the annual Terry Fox run. Sue seems to be everywhere in town these days with her life size cut out of Terry. Middleton family donates $160,000 to Kamloops Search and Rescue: “Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) is pleased to announce a significant personal donation from Kamloops residents Margot Middleton and family, supporting the organization’s plans for a new, purpose-built Search and Rescue facility at 4420 Devick Road in Kamloops.
