Hundreds gathered at Chief Louis Crossing on Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc land Sept. 29, using drums and songs to cleanse the area following a demonstration by the Second Sons, a Canadian, men’s-only white nationalist group. Many at the event wore orange shirts and ribbons for the community cleanse which took place the night before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
